So this is definitely not what I thought I'd end up writing first. But I have a lot of issues to work through with this drama (mostly of the "WHAT ARE YOUR MOTIVATIONS HERE? I NO UNDERSTANDING!" kind), and it is definitely going to be done through writing. Which is cool with me!
Mei, Izumi, Kiba. Tea-time. Spoilers for the second half of the drama. 574 Words.

Waking up a girl hasn't changed Noda at all. She still pays an insane amount of attention to her looks and accessories, still walks with a spring in her step. Uchiyama is clothed embarrassingly in anything she could snatch from her mother's wardrobe that morning without being caught; comfortable, trousers too short in the leg, and faded.
Minami is still checking out girls. It's just that today they see her predatory smile and are misreading it completely, smiling back, wondering who this strangely friendly girl is. Not just any girl would hang out in front of Shirokin Gakuen, and yet today there is a small group of them, totally mismatched.
Sawada has been dragging her feet all the way to school. Her clothes no longer fit properly, her trousers only staying up because she forced a few new holes into her belt this morning. But it was either that, or call her sister and have to find out if they might share the same size anything (the horror, the very thought of it made Sawada turn back to the belt and continue to bore a new hole, hoping that this one would be right this time).
Reaching the school gates, Sawada wonders just how she is going to convince the others of the situation, that it really is her. It quickly turns to wondering just how she realised who was who when it came to them.
"Why didn't you borrow your sister's clothes?" Noda demands. "You are the only one of us to have a teenage sister and you don't take advantage?"
"It's so unfair," Uchiyama states, fact and not envy in her words, "even as a girl you get to be the coolest one of all of us."
Before Sawada can open her mouth to make a reply to that, she hears footsteps pounding the ground behind her.
"Guys, guys!" Kuma shouts, and none of them can turn away from the freely bouncing chest. "Take a look at these!"
Sawada gets to be the coolest, but Kuma gets to be the best-endowed.

Written for shutupanddoeet's poetry prompts way back in 2006. And I promptly (ha!) forgot they existed, so I'm posting them where I can find them.
The Tawny Man Trilogy, Gen, Post "Fool's Fate", The Fool, #17; The face of all the world is changed, I think - Elizabeth Barrett Browning. 300 Words.
( +++++ ) -
The Tawny Man Trilogy, set during "The Golden Fool", Fitz/The Fool, #13 I am two fools, I know, For loving, and for saying so - John Donne. 209 Words.
( +++++ ) -
So it's clumsy and not exactly what I intended, but it got the characters out of my head and helped the story diffuse out too, which is like writing therapy. Henry and Clare are from the book The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. Spoilers for the ending of the book. 427 words.

| DORAMA DIRECTORY; please read me. (general info) |
[May. 10th, 2009|04:47 pm] |
DORAMA FIC DIRECTORY
If you have a question, have a quick read and see if haven't answered it here already:
- This is by no means a complete listing; many authors keep their work just to themselves and their own friends. - If stories are locked and I have no means of linking to them, they will not appear. - Fiction based on other versions of these dramas (manga, anime) will not appear; this is a directory for drama-based fiction only. - BUT stories that combine elements from multiple sources or do not have an obvious or specified source will still be featured here if they include drama-canon or can be understood from knowledge of the drama-canon only. - This directory is not purely for finished works; it is so that there is a listing of any and all pieces of fiction based on dramas, be they drabbles, ideas that never got off the ground or works in progress. - If fiction is untitled/unfinished where possible I will refer to it as whatever the author has (often in the subject line) so that we don't have too many "untitleds". - If rating/warnings are not given the section will be left blank (unless there is obvious sexual content, which I will warn for whether the author has or not). - Disclaimers can be found (or not, as the author chooses) on the actual works of fiction. This is only a listing of links to those works. - Eventually, I hope to tag these also by: wordcount; under 100, 100 word drabble, 101-1000, 1001-2499, 2500-5000, 5000-10,000, 10,001-20,000, 20,000+ focus; het, slash, femmeslash, gen
Feel free to pimp a recs list/community/your own fics. If you know of something I don't, please let me know! Feel free to let anyone who might be interested/a help know of the directory. I will do as much as I can on my own, but I'd never say no to a bit of input. If you know any information about doramas I don't (spoilers I may have missed because the author didn't mention it, for example) please let me know so I can correct it! Same goes for any mistakes, author duplicates (same author under different names), etc. Just because a place isn't represented yet, does not mean it won't be: if you know of any Hong Kong, Chinese or Singaporean dramas, just let me know! |

| Public Service Announcement ;) |
[Apr. 19th, 2009|09:45 am] |
I've made a decision; I'm going back to my personal journal. The break-up was the right thing to do at the time, but I'm in a place now where we need one another again, I think. I want to be able to share with other people again, to talk about what is going on with me, and stop just connecting with people through my fanfic and keeping distant in every other way.
I've spent the morning clearing out old communities that no longer interest me, and users who have deleted/disappeared. I've added communities I want to keep up with without having to log in to fsop all the time. I only want to log in to that in order to post my fanfiction (which won't stop! XD)
What this means, you guys, is I want to add you over there too, if that's cool with you!
emothy
I'd like to continue to read your entries and, if you want to, I'd like you to follow mine. By the time most of you see this, I'll probably have a new post up there. No need to comment or anything, unless you want to. Just add me back :)
I'll still be posting fiction here, but that's all this has ever been, a fanfic journal.
- Hoping you all stick around, Em.

She sits alone, but after a while she decides she needs somebody to talk to, and makes her way to a crowded table. She's never had any trouble with an audience.
She pours out her story, editing along the way in order to make herself look better, and when she reaches the end, they people around don't even realise, they are so enthralled. When they begin to clap and reach for their purses, Sujini is confused, until she realises they think she is an entertainer and is telling them a made-up story.

She never touches another drop of alcohol after that night.

I started writing this for a prompt from here, which was this: "Gokusen - Uchi/Natsumi (Shin's sister) - Uchi is a somewhat bumbling boyfriend, which Natsumi thinks is endearing, and Shin plays the part of protective older brother."
But I have no idea where I was going to go with it (this is rather true of everything I write), and I'm now resigned to leaving it unfinished, in the hopes that if I drop off some old stuff, I may be able to write something new sometime soon!
